2024 Winter Foray 

The GSMS 2024 Winter Foray is a great time to meet others BMRS and GSMS members along the gulf coast.

Please lets us know your interests in attending by registering here on the BRMS site.  It's our way of gauging interest and informing you of other events in the Baton Rouge area that are happening.

Registration and payment at the Gulf South Mycological Society's website is required to attend.  Please fill out the form below and contact Logan at gulfsouthmycologicalsociety@gmail.com. 


Please see the attached registration form and foray flyer.  We are open for business as of your receipt of this email.  Feel free to pay for registration by way of the QR code on the registration form, but do send via email a filled out registration form.  We will accept checks as well, and we will have the website amended soon to take orders too.  But if you're eager to reserve one of the "hotel" style rooms, I'd suggest registering quickly, as there aren't as many of the fancier rooms as there will be registrants.  (If you're on a budget like me, keep in mind that the rustic communal cabins are cheap and comfortable.  I stayed in one last year and found it perfect for my needs. Camping on-site will also be available.)

Baton Rouge Mycological Society (BRMS) is an informal group of people interested in mycology.  BRMS is committed to the promotion of educational and scientific activities related to fungi.  BRMS supports the protection of natural areas and their biological integrity.  We advocate the sustainable use of mushrooms as a resource and endorse responsible mushroom collecting that does not harm the fungi or their habitats.
